The Varna Community Association (VCA) was founded in 1950 by a group of community-minded residents. It has been in continuous operation ever since. Varna is a hamlet in the Town of Dryden NY.
The VCA exists exclusively for charitable and educational purposes including enhancing the quality of life in and around Varna and providing for wholesome recreational and educational activities.
The VCA is a non-profit corporation with 501c3 designation from the IRS. A volunteer Board of Directors oversees activities of the organization and maintains the VCA’s buildings and property. Membership is free and includes everyone living in Varna. Learn about membership here.
Except for the paid staff who run our Varna After School Program, volunteers are responsible for everything else that happens at the VCA. We welcome new volunteers!
What We Do
The VCA provides programs and resources that benefit the community.
The VCA playground is open to the public from dawn to dusk. Follow the posted rules and enjoy!
Two woodland trails start at the back of the VCA's property. One goes to Hillside Acres and the other connects with the Dryden Rail Trail.
